Dr. Megan Sisson
Dr. Megan Sisson is originally from small town Ohio where she went to undergrad, then moved to North Carolina for graduate school at Duke University. After grad school, she attended NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine and immediately went into civilian federal service in Miami, FL, and then Iowa as a Veterinary Medical Officer/Microbiologist.
Upon completing her federal contract she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship in Detroit, then moved to NJ for an Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) residency. She moved to LA in June 2022 where she primarily practiced ECC medicine for a year and a half. Major life changes altered her life/schedule, so she began working exclusively as an independent contractor, filling shifts in ER, urgent care, general practice hospitals, community medicine, and high volume spay/neuter all across Los Angeles. She joins Shane Veterinary Medical Center with an interest in surgery, preventative care, and applying her advanced training to every day needs in general practice.
Dr. Sisson is owned by a tiny cat and tries to stay out of trouble in her free time. She enjoys pilates, affordable traveling, and learning to be a jack of all trades.
