How Adoption Works
- 1. Browse Available Cats
Take a look below at all of the cats and kittens that we currently have available at Shane Veterinary Medical Center.
- 2. Submit a Short Application
Use the form below to submit your adoption application.
- 3. Meet & Greet at Our Hospital
Once we've received your application, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with the cats at our hospital.
- 4. Approve, Sign, & Pay Fee
Once we've approved your application and you've had your meet and greet, you will need to fill out some paperwork and submit the associated fees.
- 5. Bring Your New Cat Home!
Now it's time to bring your new furry friend home. Congratulations!
What’s Included
Here is what our team at Shane Veterinary Medical Center includes as part of your cat or kitten adoption package:
- Physical exam by a veterinarian
- First year of vaccines
- Spay or neuter
- Deworming & flea prevention
- Fecal testing
- FeLV/FIV testing (age appropriate)
- Option for microchipping (additional fee)
Adoption Requirements
- Documents
- Must be 21+ with a valid ID
- Provide Name, Address, and ID
- Proof you can keep the cat safe indoors
- Fees
- Adoption Fee: $300 includes first year of vaccines and spay or neuter
- Microchipping: Additional cost, please inquire
- Return Policy & Medical Coverage
- Shane Veterinary Medical Center will always accept kittens back, regardless of the timeline.
- Shane Veterinary Medical Center will cover any medical expenses noted within the first 30 days of adoption (as documented at adoption time).
Donate Supplies
We welcome donations of cat food, litter, toys, and clean towels. Drop-off during business hours at: Shane Veterinary Medical Center, 4816 Lincoln Blvd, Marina del Rey, CA 90292.
